NAV Reconnects With Young Thug For New Song “Trimski”

Toronto singer and rapper NAV and Atlanta hip-hop legend Young Thug have built a history of musical partnerships over the years, though their last creative union dates back to 2020 on NAV’s Emergency Tsunami project. Today, the duo marks their return with “Trimski,” featuring production by Ty GotEm, Elementry, and Rel. The track is an upbeat rap offering that blends urban slang characteristic of both artists' home regions.
According to an official statement, the term “trimski”—a fusion of the Atlanta slang “trim” and the quintessential Toronto suffix “-ski”—is defined as: “displaying an exceptionally polished appearance, showing an extreme level of style, and widely recognized by others as being ‘overly trim.’” In the song’s opening chorus, NAV certainly exudes this sense of style, bolstered by his surrounding entourage.
I got five hoes, I’m pushin' pimpski (Trimski)
I need a jetski just for my pinky (Trimski)
My Black girl sniff Monica Lewinsky (Trim)
My white girl give me a ménage, she shaped like Nicki (Trimski)
NAV takes the lead on the first verse, making it clear that he isn't looking for a serious romance.
Yucky, you a ho, can’t be no cuddle buddy
Bubbly, all my cups are lookin' extra muddy
Suck me, eat me up and put me in your tummy
Lucky, if you give me your life, this shit be sunny
Thug steps in for the second verse, echoing a similar sentiment regarding his personal life. While he is willing to commission high-profile jeweler Elliot Eliantte to design a piece for his partner, he maintains that he has no interest in committing to a long-term relationship.
I fucked four times today, my nigga, I’m bold (Swear, yeah)
I love this living this shit, it don’t get old (Shit)
Told Elliot, “Make her chain but keep it low” (Eh)
She askin' if I love her, that’s rhetorical (Fool)
I pass that ho to bro ‘cause that’s the bro code (The brodie)
