Jack Harlow is celebrating his 28th birthday by unveiling his highly anticipated fourth studio record, Monica, which succeeds his 2023 release, Jackman. During the hiatus spanning nearly three years since his previous LP, the Kentucky rapper moved to New York City and composed this latest project at the legendary Electric Lady Studios, situated in Greenwich Village.

During a March 2025 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Harlow touched upon the unusually extended period between his musical releases.

“I am aiming for growth,” Harlow explained. “I have a desire to create something entirely new, and I’m gradually coming to terms with the fact that if I want to produce something unlike anything I've crafted before, it will naturally require more time than my previous work.”
